Join us in the National Opera House foyer for a very special performance by 9 year old Bohdan Grechko. Bohdan has performed at concerts in Wexford, Dublin, Ukraine and will be attending classes at the Royal Irish Academy of Music from September.
Music Generation 6:30PM
Yellow Bellows, Music Generation Wexford youth singing group, will perform dynamic rock & pop songs with movement and body percussion as well as a piece as Gaeilge for Culture Night! The group is led by musician educators Anita Mahon and Diarmuid Comerford who, with Yellow Bellows, recently led a performance of 2,000 children in Chadwicks Wexford Park, have a growing reputation for their ‘supercool’ performances in Ireland and abroad.
Yellow Bellows have performed for the ETBI Principals conference at the Clayton Whites Hotel; the Spring Sessions, Wexford Arts Centre, supporting Frankenstein Bolts, Presentation Arts Centre; Enniscorthy, guest performers with Music Generation Waterford at the GOMA Gallery Waterford City, performed in the bandstand Wexford Culture Night 2023; and supported the Enniscorthy Gospel Choir charity performance, Riverside Hotel Enniscorthy in 2024.
They have performed both locally and internationally with Enniscorthy Street Rhythms Festival, The Music Generation National Conference in Dublin Castle, Creative Connexions, Sitges, Spain 2023 and most recently at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Wexford 2024.
Wexford Drama Group 7PM
The Wexford Drama Group are inviting audiences to watch a snippet of their October production called “The Unkillable Irishman”, a beautifully written play, by local talent Jack Matthews about an Irish man who fled to America due the prohibition. This play offers comedy, drama and much more and is suitable for those aged 14 years upwards.
Wexford Light Opera Society 7:30PM
We invite you to enjoy a snippet of "Hits from the Musicals" performed by the chorus and soloists of the Wexford Light Opera Society (WLOS).
Wexford Festival Opera 8PM
Wexford Festival Opera presents a short recital of Operatic Music by members of the Wexford Festival Opera Company.
All performances will take place in the Ground Floor Foyer of the National Opera House
