After a series of sell-out performances, The Irish College of Music Theatre (IMT) is proud to present its annual Spring Showcase. Since it's inauguration in 2014 providing Ireland's premiere accredited third level courses in musical theatre studies, IMT is delighted to partner with The National Opera House in providing musical theatre and classical singing studies for students aged 5 years to 21 years. This spring concert is the ideal platform in highlighting the talents and techniques of its young members, with the careful guidance and expertise of its esteemed faculty - Deirdre Masterson (course director), Ross Scanlon (voice), Kelli Ann Masterson (voice), Peter McCamley (acting), Megan McEvoy (dance), and Conor McCarthy (music).
A night's entertainment to suit all the family including excerpts from- Kiss me Kate, The Lion King, Jungle Book, Toy Story, Moana, Oliver, Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Hansel and Gretel and The Mikado.
The Irish College of Music Theatre 2020 bursary will also be announced at March 28th performance.
Junior and Teen students from Wexford and Gorey branches will collaborate for what promises to be an entertaining showcase, in addition to presenting The Irish College of Music Theatre's Young Artist Programme students. In August 2019, national auditions were held in search of IMT's first Young Artist Programme cohort. All successful applicants are students aged 15 years - 20 years who excel in classical singing, wishing to pursue and develop their talents. They are trained weekly by a carefully chosen national and international panel at The National Opera House under the direction of Deirdre Masterson.
IMT is particularly excited to present all its talented students at the Spring Showcase. Book tickets early to avoid disappointment.
