National Opera House Workshop Singing for Health with Ross Scanlon

9 September 2021
Tickets: FREE

Booking online is no longer available for this event. However, if you would like to attend, please contact our  Box Office.

Join tenor Ross Scanlon for our next session, which will take us to some more work on our vocal technique and help us to become aware of what we physically do when we sing - how we support our sound and how to produce the sound in a way that is vocally healthy!

This session is open to all who have some experience of singing - no prior attendance for these sessions necessary.  All that is required is you and your voice!

Ross Scanlon is an accomplished tenor, having trained at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama and at the Royal Academy of Music Opera School in London.  He has performed regularly in opera, for Opera Collective Ireland, NI Opera and Welsh Youth Opera, as a soloist for many choral societies in Ireland including Bray & Wicklow, Ancór Limerick, Culwick and Les Faurists Chamber Choir, London.  He is also a vocal coach for the American College Dublin and an examiner for the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

These workshops are suitable for all adults 18+ and who have some experience of singing, particularly in choirs or community groups, or as solo vocalists.

Session time: 60 minutes approx.

These workshops will be presented on zoom, and a link will be sent to participants in advance of the workshops. All that is required is an internet connection!

As places are limited, if your plans change and you can no longer participate please do let us know in advance, as we could then accommodate any waiting list.

These workshops are Free of Charge but places must be booked in advance.
