The sequins are out, the hurty shoes are on, the hair is coiffed to within an inch of its life and the liposuction didn't work. But who cares, they've got spanx!
Yes, Ireland's favourite all-girl, musical-comedy trio, The Nualas, are on the road again. Expect an an evening of scintillating new song, spleen-rupturingly hilarious new chat, and a stunningly bendy repertoire of new moves, despite the fact that they've lost all feeling from the waist down (the spanx).
In an utterly fabulous career they've played extended seasons in London, Melbourne and New York, written and recorded several series for BBC Radio 4, appeared at the Royal Albert Hall, released a video (yes, 'video') with Sony, split up and got back together again, clocked up innumerable TV appearances, and met Chris de Burgh in the flesh.
Now, with this fabulous new extravaganza, The Nualas promise to leave your ankles swollen with laughter, your ear drums throbbing in sheer musical ecstasy and your eyeballs bulging out of their sockets in disbelief as they knock it out of the comedy park yet again (in spanx).
'You'd be an eejit to miss it!' Some eejit who missed it the last time
'Stomach-achingly brilliant!' A fella who had some out-of-date chicken before he came to the show
"Dammit! The Nualas can sing and make your face ache from laughing."Time Out, London
