The Seafarer presented by Kilmuckridge Drama Group

19 & 21 February

Tickets: €15

Kilmuckridge Drama Group pay their first visit to the Jerome Hynes Theatre in February however you may remember them from their sell out performance of John B. Keane's The Field back in 2011. Having won the All Ireland Drama Final in 2014 with Conor McPhersons' The Weir, they now return with another of his award winning play's, The Seafarer, which is their entry for this years open festival circuit competition.

The play centers on the Harkin household. It's Christmas Eve and Sharky has recently returned home but is in a bad place mentally. His brother Richard is blind and isn’t the easiest to live with. Two friends of Richard’s, Ivan and Nicky are joined by a stranger from Sharky's past. He is very mysterious and isn’t quite who he seems but some 25 years earlier he played a game of cards with Sharky, which turned out to be for Sharky’s soul!

It will enthrall you, make you laugh and keep you on the edge of your seat right to the end. It is Unmissable.

Directed  by Michael Johnston who also directed the award winning The Weir.
