Wexford Drama Group are back and after competing on the All Ireland Drama circuit this year we are delighted to announce we have qualified for the RTE All Ireland Drama Finals in Athlone.

This year we took a modern American classic, "How I Learned To Drive" written by Paula Vogel. It is the story of Lil Bit, a girl from a poor family in Baltimore who dreams of making it as a writer in New York. When her aunt's husband, Peck, offers her driving lessons she finds herself in the arms of an older married man. Following her from her teenage years up to the age of thirty five, the play is an epic story about finding your voice. Lil Bit is played by All Ireland Best Actress Seona O'Connor, Uncle Peck by Enniscorthy Drama veteran Fintan Kelly, Male Chorus by All Ireland Best Actor nominee Sean Byrne, Female chorus is played by light opera stalwart Sophie Blaney Parslow and Teenage chorus is played by Bree actress and singer Sarah Byrne.

The cast play over forty roles and is full of music, singing and dancing, hilarious moments and jaw dropping drama.

This production is helmed by award winning director Paul Walsh who says "You have never seen a play like this, come and see why it scooped up the Pulitzer prize and Tony awards."

This production so far has won over 40 awards across the country, including overall winners in three festivals and every member of the cast and crew winning an award at one point.
