**Please note this performance is in St. Iberius Church**
Wexford Light Opera Society are so excited about being finally able to get back to entertaining the audiences of Wexford and beyond for our upcoming Hits From The Musicals Concert.
Our 2021 concert will be held in St. Iberius Church over 4 nights commencing on Monday 25th October and running until Thursday 28th October during the Wexford Opera Festival in October 2021. While this is not our normal venue, we promise a great night of entertainment from our members who are eager to tread the boards once again.
The Hits From The Musicals Concert will commence each night at 8pm and Doors will open at 7.30pm. We will be following any instructions laid out by the government in relation to audience restrictions in place during this timeframe.
The musical playlist incorporates both old and new musical theatre feasts sung by the award-winning chorus of the Wexford Light Opera Society in addition to well-known WLOS performers who are delighted to be back on stage with WLOS once again.
Under the musical direction of Fintan Cleary and Chorus Mistress Eithne Corrigan its promises to be one of the fringe festival highlights once again this year. Your MC for the evening will be the hilarious Catherine “Biddy” Walsh.
Judith Rice - President, Actors’ Equity Foundation - “Having had the unique privilege of being a long-time voter for the Tony Awards, which celebrates Broadway’s finest, I would place the extraordinary artists of the Wexford Light Opera Society alongside the very best of Broadway. I hope my New York colleagues will one day have the opportunity to experience this remarkable musical journey.”
Our venue is smaller than our usual performance space, so we urge people to book early to avoid any disappointment. Tickets will cost €20. Please also note that we are unable to facilitate assigned seating in St. Iberius Church this year.
