Getting to the National Opera House has never been easier.

By Road

Directions from Wexford Bridge

When you come across Wexford Bridge turn left. you will approach the first pedestrian crossing, turn right here. Continue straight through the bullring and into Cornmarket. Turn right at the roundabout for Parking in Whites Hotel under ground Car Park or left and immediately right to bring you to Rowe Street Church Car Park. Please note there is limited Car access to High Street except for set down outside Wexford Opera House.

Directions to the National Opera House from the N11

Take the N11 Road from Dublin going through Gorey, Camolin, Ferns, and Enniscorthy. As you enter Enniscorthy take the 2nd Exit off the Roundabout Signposted Wexford/Rosslare. Follow the one way system left over the bridge, and then turn right off the bridge. Continue straight ahead along the main N11 road towards Rosslare.

Continue on past Ferrycarrig Hotel (on your left as you approach the outskirts of Wexford town). Take the first exit on the Quality Hotel roundabout. Continue along this road past Wexford Hospital. Continue through two sets of traffic lights, and down Hill Street, which is on your left.

At the end of Hill Street there is a small roundabout, take the exit to the right. There is a one way system in operation from here. Continue left past the Petrol Station, turn right and continue on past Dunne’s Stores (will be on your right). Again you are approaching a roundabout, continue through the traffic lights, to the left and continue along the quay with the water on your left.

As you continue along the quay, you will approach the first pedestrian crossing, turn right here. Continue straight through the bullring and into Cornmarket. Turn right at the roundabout for Parking in Whites Hotel under ground Car Park or left and immediately right to bring you to Rowe Street Church Car Park. Directions from Cork/Waterford (South West)

From Cork take the Waterford road (N25) and follow signs for Rosslare. Stay on the N25 and continue through New Ross (over the bridge and take the right turn). After traveling through New Ross, continue along the N25 towards Wexford. As you are entering Wexford, you will approach the New Ross Roundabout. Take the second exit onto the R769, signposted for Wexford. Continue along this road past Wexford Hospital. Continue through two sets of traffic lights, and down Hill Street, which is on your left.

At the end of Hill Street there is a small roundabout, take the exit to the right. There is a one way system in operation from here. Continue left past the Petrol Station, turn right and continue on past Dunne’s Stores (will be on your right). Again you are approaching a roundabout, continue through the traffic lights, to the left and continue along the quay with the water on your left.

Turn right at the roundabout for parking in Whites Hotel underground car park or left and immediately right and left at the T-junction to bring you to Rowe Street Church car park.Please note that there is limited car access to High Street except for set-down outside the National Opera House.

By Air

Ireland attracts many visitors from abroad and most major airlines operate regular services to Dublin, Cork and Shannon including, Aer Lingus, Ryanair and British Midland (BMI).

Aer Arann also operate a regular service to Waterford Airport, located just 70km (1hr 15min drive) form Wexford Town.  Services include flights from London Luton, Manchester and Birmingham. There are no current public transport services running from Waterford airport.  Car Hire is available at the airport and a taxi service is also available to shuttle passengers to and from Waterford train/bus station (approx 10K).  For further information visit Waterford Airport at www.flywaterford.com.

By Sea

Wexford is situated on the South East coast of Ireland and only fifteen minutes drive from Rosslare Europort. Stena Line operates daily sailings between Rosslare Harbour and Fishguard, and between Dun Laoghaire (two hours north of Wexford) and Hollyhead. By Train

Wexford is two-and-half hours from Dublin by train. If you are flying into Dublin Airport there is a connecting coach service from the Airport to Busáras, the central bus station, which is very close to Connolly Station from where the Wexford train leaves.
