Facility Fee

From Wednesday, 8 March 2023 all tickets purchased for events will be subject to a Facility Fee as set out below. The Facility Fee ensures that the National Opera House continues to operate as a sustainable business and can consistently deliver the highest quality experience for our patrons. This replaces the Transaction Fee which was previously in place.

The Facility Fee does not apply to House Club Members. To find out more about becoming a House Club Member click here.

Facility Fee

Tickets up to €20: €2 per ticket
Tickets between €21 - €30: €3 per ticket
Tickets €31 and over: €4 per ticket

Refund Policy

Tickets can only be accepted for resale if the performance is sold out. The original ticket(s) must be with the Box Office before we can begin the resale process. If your ticket(s) is resold, you will be refunded, less a 15% administration fee.

Delivery Methods & Timing

If you have chosen the postal option, tickets will be dispatched by post on the day of purchase to the postal address specified. Please ensure you provide us with your correct and complete postal address.

Patrons can also choose to ‘Collect at Box Office’. Tickets must be collected no later than 30 minutes before the start of a performance.

‘Print at Home’ tickets are also available. Patrons must print these tickets at home so that the barcode on the ticket is 100% clear and legible. 'Print at Home' tickets cannot be reprinted at the National Opera House and must be brought to the National Opera House on the night of the performance.

Online booking is provided by Spektrix, a leading provider of secure online ticketing solutions.

Other Terms

The management reserves the right to change or cancel the advertised programme.

The management reserves the right to refuse admission.

If an event is cancelled, the management will refund the face value of the ticket only. If an event is rescheduled and you cannot attend, the management will refund the face value of the ticket only.

Latecomers will strictly not be admitted to the performance until the first interval. Please allow sufficient time for traffic and parking delays.

Mobile phones/pagers should be switched off before entering the auditorium.
