Accessibility
Here at the National Opera House we strive to make it as accessible as possible so that people of all ages and physical abilities are able to enjoy its many features. Our staff and volunteers are here to assist you and those who may be accompanying you.

If you have any specific accessibility requirements or have any questions regarding accessibility, particularly if it is your first visit to the National Opera House, please contact our dedicated box-office team who will be happy to assist you on +353 53 912 2144 or email boxoffice@nationaloperahouse.ie in advance of your visit! They will be happy to assist you!
When booking your tickets, please inform our box-office staff in advance if:
- You have access requirements, including wheelchair users and those with mobility restrictions, a guide dog to accompany you in the National Opera House and/or into the auditorium.
- You require assistance with audio support.
- You need to borrow a wheelchair.
The National Opera House is fully accessible for persons with restricted movements, both ambulant and wheelchair-bound. There is convenient lift access to all public spaces. Provision has been made to accommodate wheelchair users and their companions in a variety of prime locations within the O’Reilly Theatre and the Jerome Hynes Theatre.
The National Opera House operates over four levels. A lift services is available for access to all levels.
Accessible toilets are situated on Level 0 (Ground Floor), Level 1, and Level 2.
The National Opera House offers a hearing assistance system, Sennheiser Mobile Connect, for those with hearing impairment. This system is free, but requires the use of a smartphone with wi-fi capabilities in order to download the app and connect to the stage audio. It will also require the use of earphones or Bluetooth enabled hearing-aids, which must be supplied by the user.

If you are visually impaired and require the assistance of a Guide Dog, please contact our box-office in-person, by phone or by email in advance of your visit to inform us of your specific needs.
Staff and NOH Volunteers are trained in First Aid, should assistance be required. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is also located in the venue.
Access to Wi-Fi is freely available throughout the National Opera House.
