Step into a world where stories stir, memories flicker, and imagination begins to move.
This original 2 Many Dance Moves production brings together dancers from our afterschool programme, from age 3 through to adults, in a shared journey through magic, memory and transformation.
At the heart of the production is an ancient book filled with stories, spells and fragments of a world almost forgotten. When its pages are scattered, the stories begin to shift. Some are lost. Some change shape. Some wait quietly to be found again.
The work is inspired by three siblings and the energies they carry: the Scholar, the Fairy and the Protector. One gathers and remembers. One imagines, transforms and opens new worlds. One guards what is precious and makes space for creativity to grow.
These energies move through the production like threads, connecting each dance without ever becoming fixed or literal.
Through contemporary dance, projection, theatrical imagery and a soundtrack that moves between atmospheric sound and modern music, the performers explore shapeshifting, freedom, ritual, mischief, courage and wonder.
At its core, the show is about what we choose to carry forward.
About the stories we inherit, the imagination we protect, and the new meanings we create when we make them our own.
Because stories do not simply survive.
They awaken.
