The Sleeping Beauty is not just a ballet, it is a spectacular collision of magic, romance, and breathtaking artistry that changed the world of Ballet forever.

Imagine being transported by the Sofia City Ballet to a lavish world inspired by the dazzling court of French King Louis XIV. The story is one we all know and love, the beautiful Princess Aurora is cursed by the wicked Carabosse to prick her finger on a spindle and perish.

But thanks to the glimmering Lilac Fairy, the curse is softened. Instead of dying, Aurora and her kingdom fall into a deep, century-long slumber, waiting for the true love's kiss of Prince Désiré to awaken them.

The Sofia City Ballet’s "Sleeping Beauty" is a true gift for both adults and children, who wish to be immersed in the beauty of graceful lines and the enchantment of classical ballet.
