In this poignant drama, we are introduced to a provincial library in rural Ireland at the end of an era, where the whispers of change leave staff and patrons disgruntled, unsettled, and curious about their futures.

At the play's core is Ellen, a lonely senior librarian navigating the pressures and differing outlooks of a driven younger colleague, while supporting a community of loyal familiars facing the loss of a familiar refuge. Somehow in the midst of all the uncertainty, Ellen reconnects with a character from her past, who may have the exact next chapter she needs to move on from these turbulent times.
