Sanctuary serves as a tribute to the resilience of the working class, inspired by the poignant song of the same name, originally performed by the legendary Mary McPartland. Written by Vincent Woods and Máirtín O'Connor, the song tells the story of the hardships endured by miners in the Arigna mines near Drumkeeran, Co. Leitrim. Garadice skillfully transforms this historical tale into a moving musical narrative, blending traditional sounds with contemporary flair.

Among the album's lively jigs and reels, including some newly composed tracks, one standout is Song for Kathryn.
