A South Dublin home, a successful career in finance and a mortgage paid off in his 40s- life for Dónal couldn’t be sweeter. But his ex, Aidan, is now engaged and when a “save the date” arrives, Dónal’s bad habits threaten to resurface.

After work one evening he invites rough sleeper Gavin into his home, but when a gesture of kindness takes an explosive turn, Dónal’s mask finally slips.

To salvage the charmed life he's worked desperately to build, he faces a turbulent journey inward. Unfortunately for Dónal, the mind has its own currency.

Invitations is a dark and darkly comic drama exploring masculinity, intimacy and class in contemporary Ireland.

A new play directed and written by Wexford playwright Eoghan Rua Finn (Amongst Men, The Blackstairs Trilogy).

90 minutes run time, no interval
