Lyric Opera The Joy Of Christmas

Come and join Lyric Opera for The Joy of Christmas, a concert of carols vividly brought to life in an exquisite candle-lit setting, the splendours of this festive season. From triumphant Handel and much loved Mozart, to the strains of many of our enchanting and best-known Christmas masterpieces.

The Joy of Christmas captivates audiences with its lavish setting, projections, special readings from well-known literature, together with the glorious playing of The Christmas Festival Orchestra and the one hundred voice choir of The Carlow Choral Society.

Joining Lyric Opera on this seasonal journey is one of Ireland’s star sopranos, Rachel Croash, with the internationally acclaimed tenor, José de Eça, and special guest, the acclaimed vocalist and entertainer Tony Carty. Paul McGrath conducts this atmospheric evening hosted by the inimitable Peter McCamley.
