Movie Magic with the Loch Garman Brass Band is a diverse and dynamic performance of famous movie and television themes through the exciting medium of brass and percussion.
An hour-long tour of some of screen media's most memorable themes and melodies.
From the sophisticated James Bond themes to John Barry's expansive Oscar-winning theme 'Out of Africa'. From musicals which made it to the big screen such as 'Phantom of the Opera' to small screen blockbuster 'Game of Thrones' signature tune. And more...
This evening's recital will also include an appearance by the seven-piece youth brass group No Strings Attached.
The conductor for both groups tonight will be Carlow-based musician Oran O'Neill.
About the Band:
The Loch Garman Brass Band is a Wexford based brass and percussion ensemble with its rehearsal room at the Friends' Meeting House/Quaker Hall on High Street. Literally a 'stone's throw' from the National Opera House.
The group has the standard brass band instrumentation of cornets, tenor horns, baritones, euphoniums, trombones, tubas (aka basses) and variety of percussion.
As with all local groups we are always interested in gaining new members. If you would like to know more, please contact us at lochgarmanbrassband@gmail.com
