Oyster Lane Theatre Group returns to the National Opera House from Sunday 22nd - Thursday 26th November 2026 with a landmark production of The Prince of Egypt – The Musical, marking the first time this spectacular title has ever been staged in the South East of Ireland.
Following the group’s four AIMS nominations for their 2025 sell-out production of The Wizard of Oz, Oyster Lane promises another spectacular theatrical event filled with soaring music, powerful drama and unforgettable storytelling.
Based on the beloved DreamWorks film, this stunning production brings the story of Moses to life, tracing his journey from royal upbringing to his destiny as the leader of his people. Audiences can expect magnificent chorus numbers, powerful drama and emotionally charged performances, anchored by beloved songs including Deliver Us and the Oscar-winning When You Believe. From moments of intimate emotion to scenes of epic scale, this promises to be one of Oyster Lane’s most ambitious productions to date.
Director Imelda McDonagh returns to lead the production following her huge success directing Michael Collins – A Musical Drama, winner of Overall Best Show at the AIMS Awards. She is joined by AIMS award winning Musical Director Patrick Clancy and acclaimed choreographer Jonny Smith.
Filled with heart, hope and theatrical magic, The Prince of Egypt promises to be a truly unmissable highlight in the National Opera House 2026 season.
