The Girl Who Read the Stars is a magical, heart-filled stage production written and directed by Sharon Clancy, choreographed by Katelyn Philipin, and performed by the talented students of Superstar Stage Academy in Wexford and Enniscorthy.
In a world rapidly taken over by technology, the powerful CEO of DigiX and Mayor Musk are determined to replace the town’s beloved library with a vast digital database. To them, books are outdated—but not everyone agrees. When a passionate teacher brings her class, including young Luna—the CEO’s dyslexic daughter—on a final visit to the library, she hopes to prove that stories still matter.
Struggling with reading and convinced books aren’t for her, Luna falls asleep hidden among the shelves…and awakens a world of wonder. As the library springs to life, she is swept into a breathtaking journey through enchanted lands—from magical Arabian nights to the depths of the ocean, soaring through skies of birds, and into the minds of great thinkers and beloved princesses. Each encounter reveals the power of imagination, resilience, and storytelling.
Through this extraordinary adventure, Luna discovers that her dyslexia is not a limitation, but a gift—because she doesn’t just read words...she reads the stars.
A celebration of creativity, courage, and the enduring magic of books, The Girl Who Read the Stars reminds us all that every mind tells its own beautiful story.
