Get ready for a very special celebration of song and stage as Wexford Light Opera Society proudly presents its 30th Anniversary Hits from the Musicals.
Running across four unforgettable nights from Monday 26th October to Thursday 29th October 2026, this much-loved annual production returns once again to coincide with the vibrant Wexford Opera Festival, offering audiences a magical musical theatre experience.
Each evening’s performance begins at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:30 PM, allowing guests to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere before the music begins.
This milestone anniversary production will feature a carefully chosen repertoire of beloved Broadway and West End favourites, alongside contemporary musical theatre showstoppers. These will be performed with flair and passion by the award winning WLOS chorus, joined by some of the society’s most celebrated performers in an exciting cabaret style evening.
Under the expert musical direction of David Hayes, with stage direction by Stephen Byrne and choral direction by Eithne Corrigan, the production promises to capture the creativity and energy that have made Hits from the Musicals such a firm favourite with audiences for three decades.
Hosting the evening once again is the ever-charismatic Catherine “Biddy” Walsh, whose wit and warmth ensure a lively and engaging experience for audiences of all ages.
“Having had the unique privilege of being a long-time voter for the Tony Awards, which celebrates Broadway’s finest, I would place the extraordinary artists of the Wexford Light Opera Society alongside the very best of Broadway. I hope my New York colleagues will one day have the opportunity to experience this remarkable musical journey.”
